Research Biography
Eamonn McGonigle is a researcher and student with a background in public health advocacy, engagement, and education dating back to 2015. After graduating with a B.S. in Public Health Sciences from the University of Michigan in 2023, Eamonn has continued his educational journey towards an MPH in the Global Health department at the University of Washington Seattle. At the University of Michigan, through the SOAR program, his research focused on HIV ART adherence strategies for youth living with HIV and PrEP decision-making for pregnant and postpartum women in Harare, Zimbabwe. Most recently he has been working on research examining the experiences of those recently released from jail or prison and connecting them to PrEP services. Continuing forward, he plans to focus on policy and mixed methods research in HIV/AIDS, behavioral health interventions, programmatic implementation, global health, and health equity.
