Research Biography

Dr. Bruce's research investigates how social processes such as stigma, marginalization and migration function as social determinants of health behavior among sexual minority male youth. His work also focuses on the secondary prevention needs of young persons living with HIV/AIDS, and the role of cannabis in the lives of persons living with chronic disease. As a program evaluation and development consultant, Dr. Bruce has worked with a number of local organizations, such as the AIDS Foundation of Chicago and Chicago Department of Public Health, as well as national and international organizations, including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the US Agency for International Development.
